Join Feet First Philly on a guided mindfulness walk along the historic Boxer’s Trail in East Fairmount Park. Susan Barr-Toman, local author, teacher, and avid walker, will guide us on a meditative walk. Mindfulness brings meditation techniques to our everyday experiences; allowing us to be more fully present in the moment, in touch with our thoughts, emotions, and bodies.
The walk will follow the Boxer’s Trail approximately one mile to the grounds of Mount Pleasant Mansion where there will be a guided meditation session. We will then return to the walk starting point at Edgely Drive & Reservoir Drive for a round trip of nearly 2 miles. This walk is at a slower pace than typical hikes, in order to fully appreciate our surroundings. Please wear sturdy footwear, bring water, and a blanket or pillow for the meditation session.
