The 4th round of Feet First Philly’s Public Space Enhancement Mini-grant program opened on August 1, 2023, and closed on October 9th. Over 40 applications were submitted this year, and award winners will be announced in December. This round of mini-grants has an added focus on safety which includes addressing both traffic violence and gun violence. 

Applications represent communities across the city of Philadelphia and types of projects range from beautifying and enhancing a community garden and park space to installing new sidewalks, and programs to deter youths from criminal activities along with preventing illegal parking in an effort to protect pedestrians. 

Feet First Philly hopes to fund as many projects as possible. In an effort to maximize the number of projects that get funding this round, Feet First Philly’s mini-grant fundraiser is still open and for every $2000 raised one more project will be awarded.
