Spring is here and there are lots of events you can enjoy during this season. Here are some events that are family-friendly and free for you to attend.
First Port Richmond Picnic With Friends of Campbell Square

Campbell Square was established in 1894 as Allegheny Square and is located along Allegheny Avenue in the heart of Port Richmond. It is a 3-acre passive park. The Friends of Campbell Square have provided support to Campbell Square for nearly 20 years, and they are inviting neighbors to join them at their 1st Port Richmond picnic. The Port Richmond picnic will allow neighbors to meet each other at Campbell Square as they enjoy live music. The event is on April 20th from 12 – 3 pm. Tacony Creek Park Weekly Walks

Tacony Creek Park hosts three weekly free walks on the trail. These occur every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Registration is required. Learn more about Tacony Creek Park’s free walking program called Walk With Me. Nicetown-Tioga Team Annual Global Youth Service Day Event

This spring, The Nicetown-Tioga Improvement Team will be hosting its third annual Global Youth Service Day event with COSACOSA art at large, Inc. and To Our Children’s Future With Health, Inc. At this event, youth will learn about local greening efforts and the importance of environmental stewardship, and will then plant seeds in the Nicetown-Tioga Improvement Team’s Healing Garden. This will be on Friday, April 26th.
Celebrate Trails Day at Cobbs Creek Trail

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 8 am to 2 pm, the Clean Air Council and Fairmount Park Conservancy will host their 5th annual Celebrate Trails Day event at Cobbs Creek Trail. This free event will have health and education resources, water ice, and fun activities for everyone. Invite your friends and neighbors to join this fun-filled day. Learn more here.
