13th Street, Center City, Philadelphia.

Reimagined public spaces allowed thousands of people and businesses during COVID-19 to utilize space previously dedicated to automobiles for exercise, entertainment, and dining. Cities and towns across the Philadelphia region are continuing to open streets to all people and close them to vehicle traffic.

Even before the pandemic, Feet First Philly supported opening streets to people in every neighborhood in Philadelphia and will continue to advocate for people centered use of public space. Below is a list of open streets in Philadelphia and a few nearby suburbs with public transit connections. You can also let us know about an open street we should be featuring by emailing feetfirstphilly@cleanair.org.
