This program was funded in part by the Pa. Department of Health’s Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant.

On August 1st, Feet First Philly will launch its third public space enhancement mini-grant program. Mini-grants are open to anyone with a project that enhances and improves the pedestrian environment and provides funding between $500 and $2000 to address the financial and technical barriers that make public space enhancements difficult. Feet First Philly prioritizes projects that are led by and serve historically underserved communities, including immigrant populations, communities of color, low income communities and people with disabilities. We encourage you or someone you know to apply for our mini-grant and improve a public space for everyone.

In 2021 Feet First Philly funded seven amazing projects. Then in 2022, our program expanded to fund eight enhancement projects. We hope to support even more projects this coming year. Read about the first four projects and then the additional four projects, which are underway and expected to be completed later this summer..
