Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us and our partners the Friends of Cresheim Trail for a guided hike led by Brad Maule. It was a great walk covering 2.5 miles along the trail from Allens Lane to Germantown Avenue and back. Hikers experienced the boardwalk over the wetlands, the log ride, and learned about native flora like tulip poplar trees, bottlebrush buckeye, and spicebush.

The group also learned about current trail connections to Wissahickon Valley Park, the Mt Airy neighborhood near the trail, and future development phases hoping to extend the trail to Stenton Avenue, Cheltenham and Springfield Townships, and ultimately Fort Washington State Park. The walk concluded with lunch at Mt Airy Tap Room. Thank you to our amazing walk leader Brad Maule for a wonderful hike along the Cresheim Trail.
