StreetBoxPHL works with community groups to build place-making projects within the Right of Way (ROW). They launched their ROW Roundtable online learning forum to provide information about ROW innovations and opportunities and to discuss ongoing challenges. These sessions occur on the last Friday of each month at noon. The next session will be on March 29 on “How To – Make your Park(ing) Day dreams a reality”. Register here to attend this free online event and learn how to install a parklet and take over a parking space for pedestrians to enjoy.

Another exciting event hosted by StreetBoxPHL is their Take the Lane event. This will be an in-person celebration of citizen stewardship of the Right-of-way, and takes place on May 2, from 5pm to 7pm at the Center For Architecture + Design (1218 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107). StreetBoxPHL is calling for stories for Take the Lane. You can submit a short paragraph about public spaces in city streets that you helped steward, design, or build proposal to streetbox@gmail.com, with the subject line “Take the Lane Pechakucha”.
